I see you in your happy world
Oblivious to anything around you
You never once cared
About anyone but yourself
You never knew
Who you hurt

We always wondered why?
Why were we never good enough
To hang around you and yours?
Why were we considered 'freaks?'
Just because we were different?

Were we not pretty enough?
Were we not smart enough?
Because we would rather
Read a book of poetry
Rather than go to a basketball game?

Was our hair not long enough?
Not blonde enough?
Were are eyes not blue enough for you?
Why are we 'freaks' and 'weirdos?'
Because we would rather wear black and gray
And not wear yellow or pink?
Because we had glasses?
Because we didnt follow your crowd?

Well Im sorry you hate me
But Im proud of who I am
So if Im a 'freak' because
I express my individuality
Then I will yell out to the world
"I am who I am!"
"If you dont like me"
"Then its your loss"
"Call me a freak or a weirdo"
"CAUSE"
"I like being an individual!"

You continue to be who you are. We all have flaws,but God makes no mistakes.
