The children come first; we can hear them all say
Of the six who died putting their lives in harms way
Armed only with their urgency to protect and save
They ran into the line of fire losing their lives yesterday
When we hear of their bravery, the sacrifice they made
It humbles our spirits knowing the price that they paid
To surrender their will to survive, so others could stay
Was the ultimate gift of life, they without fear, gave away
Now, those who knew and loved the six will gather to pray
Holding them always in remembrance until judgment day
When God will bless those who heard His voice and obeyed
Their examples of selflessness will be their light for always…

It is a natural instinct to save lives, I know.. especially when its children involved.. thank you for your comment, Sinner.

Even though it weighs heavy on the hearts to see so many little children leave this earth before their time. We must as well remember those that gave their lives for others to remain....
