I guess i might as well start being active on here, some bands I like are
Iron Savior Iron Fire Elvenking Leave's eyes Magica Axenstar Axel Rudi Pell Power Quest Edguy Emperor Amon Amarth Jucifer Dragonforce There are a lot of Other bands I listen to that I that would be considered some Sub-Genre of metal. I know what you're thinking oh he's a guitar hero nub, but while it's true i enjoyed playing guitar hero I listened to Dragonforce before Guitar hero came out. I must say about Dragonforce even though I like ZP Theart I honestly feel the band is better with off with Marc Hudson The new Line up for Powerquest is much better than their older one while the old Powerquest lineup wasn't bad a lot of people including myself tend to think that while the old Line up wasn't bad the new line up between the lyrics and the sound just seems more mature. That's about all I've got to say for now. |

If anyone lives close to or gets the opportunity, RockFest in Kansas City is incredible. I've attended the past two years and had an absolute blast!! Two stages, continuous rock for an entire day. You leave feeling completely exhausted but amazingly awake. I haven't seen the line-up yet for this year but it usually occurs in May.

Is Hailstorm a metal band?

As far as I'm concerned they are definitely in the metal genre. It's my intention to come back in my next life as Lizzie Hale. OMG...amazing!!

I like so many they cross lines, some be rock n roll, some be soft rock, some be psychedelic rock, and some be Marilyn Manson.

Dio
|

|
|
Let me qualify Dio with Iommi as good as it gets. Really like some great guitarist, but Iommi knows what to play.
Jake E Lee floats me for being my favorite of the 80s for his taste and solo, while I like Ritchie Blackmore mournful style. For the bassists and drummers I'm really into musical choices rather than talent. Neil Peart being a rare exception: check Time Stand Still. |

No offense, taste is YMMV. But it appears Dio is the last word in metal.
With songs like Stargazer, Catch the Rainbow, Heaven and Hell, The Mob Rules, Holy Diver, I Could Have Been a Dreamer, and on... Saw the legend in concert several times. A stage presence this side of Eddie Murcury; one of the best. Man-O-War BTW. I didn't see them listed. Serious stage work. For perspective, I saw Def Leppard when the drummer still had two arms. Krokus was the better band that night. W.A.S.P., Iron Maiden, Celtic Frost, Motörhead, Judas Priest all with stellar efforts. Never got to see Celtic Frost sadly. |
