for a chance to strike

an obsession so intense
it needs no fire
it feeds on itself
steeped in hellish desire
the object of possession
matters not
her purpose to be owned
as a virgin that’s bought
paid for in blood
lust is a must
he won’t be denied
as he shakes off the dust
from the travel
around the world
and back
he plots a new
and varied attack
from his clutches
she will never escape
now that he’s found her
the death knoll awaits
her presence to nourish
the ground where she lay
on this cold December day
smiling contented
his plan now fulfilled
if he can’t have her
nobody will
