Topic: What to say................. | |

I am posting this under parents because I want parents' advice.
My best friend's sister got knocked up (I say knocked up and not pregnant because she was doing drugs and it was not on purpose and she was just barely out of high school, etc.) That was 7 years ago. She is pregnant AGAIN. Different guy. Again not on purpose. Living with her mom and collecting from the gov't. Still getting stoned, etc. My best friend is just thrilled beyond belief she is going to be an aunt again. The first baby, I sent money and gifts. Am I obligated to do that again? What do I say? Is there some nice thing I could say? |

KNOCKED UP? I hate when people say that and I don't care what your reason is for saying it, it is not the child's fault.
I would really hate to consider you a friend because you would be a two-faced friend. IF you don't want to send a gift, then don't!! |

You are never obligated to send a gift to someone. If you want to and can, then send one.

I was in a mood. Any child is a gift from god. And it is not the child's choice to be born. |

until you've walked in somebodies shoes you cant judge brother...this is real life and people sometimes make mistakes...when you judge another person for any reason, subconsiously you're telling yourself that you will be judged for whatever mistakes you make...and im sure she feels bad enough already and new mothers dont need extra stress...especially right after the child is born...mothers can be very fragile...postpartum depression isnt cool...skip the gift and just send a nice card with a posative message...hope everything works out for everybody invovled
