Well, I got myself a new HP machine. For some reason, it claims that "no speakers or headphones are plugged in", even though the speakers are clearly plugged in. I'm using my old speakers that worked perfectly with XP (surround sound with subwoofer
 ) WTF can I do to fix it? Thanks!
