Topic: elder bro needs help | |
---|---|
My sister who is a good student in cl 11, asked me whether love is bad for studies n how should she manage her thoughts about it. Her mom (my aunt) is so strict n so unreasonable here.
And dad, not much of help in such matters. Cause talking about such matters is almost a taboo in the household. What do you suggest i say? |

Well you don't say how old your sis is or how she plans to express that love but I think words to the effect that "I love YOU so much SIS! I want you to keep your focus and not let what may be temporarealy pleasant get in the way of what could really change your life for the better. Anyone worth having will not ask you to compromise yourself. Love is wonder and I am glad you care for someone and they care for you as they should."
Never underestimate the power of a brother's faith and love in keeping a young woman acting with wisdom and self worth. |

Oh my god! Wonderful ! I felt that there must be some beautiful lines of inspiration that one would offer in spite of the lach of info in my post. I love you pacific star ! ~*H.u.PacificStar.u.G*~
She merely crossed 15 n dont have much idea of the options. To make the situation worse, talking objectively n clearly abt such matters is not encouraged in their home. As if love is like 'rape' , non existant! Parents avoid the topic in a 'i didnt open my eyes' fashion untill one is overboard n then a shame n fear based cursing n controllin takes over! As if we are 'children of satan' in guise. In constant need of being punished! And im afraid to find dt my mind is two faced(1. Love is ok. In itself it cant harm u. U fail urself when u think a lot n neglect studies. See, some succeeded n made love n sm nvr in spite of.. etc. A mind dt wants to put forward a bigger pic n let her know dt there is a choice n love itself is nt bad,bt the way we endup dealing with it. (i feel like she is afraid of her parents n family n dnt much feel dt it is her own better judgement dt sud stop her. I just want to inject this view n free her frm the feeling of 'beauty in distress'. You know who comes to see them? Lol) 2. May be i sud nt accept dt there is a choice. May be she is too young n ud nt understnd the difference. Thanks a lot dear n any further input is welcome. |
