While I'm not entirely new to meeting people, friends or lovers online this is the first time I ever have through something like this. Because of this I'm really nervous and worried about what everything in general will be like and if it's really a good idea to even be on here. But, other than that I'm sorta hopeful that maybe something good will come out of it. I recently ended a long distance relationship I had with someone for nearly two years so I'm not really quite ready to date or anything, but I am more looking for people my age with similar interests in my area to hang out with and possibly develop something more than that someday. I haven't had many opportunities to make new friends in person for awhile, focusing more on my schooling than anything, but now I could really use some friends.

If friends are what you need, then friends you can find here. Become involved in the general discussion threads. Some threads are dedicated to nothing but fun and silliness. Laughing with people is a good way to make friends here. If you happen to meet someone here in person, then that is a bonus.

Well I've done this online thing for many, many years. They're all pretty much the same but what's cool about this one is that you get to use the forums as a way of getting to know folks. With anything, just be aware of scammers and crazy people...but in all, just try to enjoy yourself.
