I don't think it changes all that much over time but it does depend on the individual.
Most guys in High school want to test any an all limits they can get away with and all too often it is not all that much about loyalty or friendship but hormones and doing what they think will get them respect or esteemed by their peers. After four years of enduring upperclassmen's stuff I would not count on a lot of generosity. It used to be about just getting laid but now days it probably has to do with the hope that something more exotic will be a notch in their belt. If you keep in mind the the respect and protection you afford yourself will be directly related to the level of how they will view the level of respect and protection they have to afford your feelings, health, and enjoyment. And given an inch they are more than likely to take a mile. Especially if their impulse control is couded by drugs or alcohol or both. One thing you want to be careful of is teenagers are not known for keeping their mouth shut and if you do something with this person you are likely to incur the wrath of the girlfriend, her peers, or even her parents. It is a nasty fact of life that teens, even female teens, who are gay or even experimenting are targeted and delt with much more harshly so I hope you have educated yourself and think of your saftey. You are age of consent now and a whole another ball game as far as criminal and cival liabilities for anything that happens. And just because a teen boy looks like he is your age, or looks normal, does not mean he is. If he is Learning Disabled, Behavior Disabled, or even Attention Deficiet Disordered he is protected by a Federal Advocate for the disabled. With some of the old statutory exceptions for boys and men having been tightened up you could be faceing jail time or worse a DA could tack a sex offender charge on you; and ruin your life. Especially if you as the oldest are considered the predator of him and or a third party. What people are finding is when medical expenses soar and treating STD's, HPV cancers, and even infertility have major deductibles on insurance even if they don't get you on criminal charges they come after you on cival charges. And even if you nothing court related comes out of this are you really willing to chance your health, maybe a pregnancy (no birth control is fool proof) on some teenage boy who can't remember to brush his teeth, use deodorant, or or even wash his face regularly so he doesn't get pimples much less have a job or insurance for you if something happens you don't plan on ? So instead of wondering what teenage boys want you really need to be thinking about what YOU really want and if it is worth the price you might end up paying all by your lonesome in a cold cruel world that has fewer and fewer sympathies for kids much less someone who is an adult at least chronologically. |

I just wanted to add, if someone was a Freshman in HS and 18 years old that person is one hell of a looser! With that aside though, when I turned 18 I met a 15 year old girl who was completely in love with me. I couldn't do a damn thing with her even though her mom was cool with the idea of her and I dating. Let us talk about frustration! I liked her a lot and wanted to be with her but the idea of me winding up in prison like a friend of mine did when he turned 18 and his GF was 16 just about to turn 17 and the school principle found out bothered me to no end. He did go to prison and after he got out they got married.
Frankly we Americans are so fuqed up over sex we have no idea what is moral and what is proper and what is just human nature. You know these days I am 47. I have had a lot of time to figure things out for myself and for as scrwewed up as this may sound I want to have kids and that is NOT going to happen with a woman my age! NO WAY IN HELL will I risk a problem birth as in genetic flaws or my GF being killed by the pregnancy! I am hesitant to want any real serious involvement with any woman over 28 for a number of reasons like mentality and again the issue of wanting to have MY OWN kids. On top of that I am not about to just jump to have kids. I want at least a couple of years to get to know a woman before coming up with a family plan and time to dig in before I call my mom to tell her she is about to be a grandmother finally!!! If this girl wants to run the risk of her choosing to be involved with a minor, that is her choice. Hell, I get called a pervert for far less! So what. If people think I am fuqed up well look at the world around us and tell me I am so bad! At least I don't lie to people and I am not out hurting people. So likewise whatever floats this girl's boat. She is an adult and wisdom comes to us sometimes at a very high price. Likewise if the boy she is so hot for is a total looser and a player she needs to get her fingers burned to learn not to screw around with the fire! You will cross the wrong woman one day who will take great offense if she even thinks you got it for her man. I have seen women in Los Angeles shoot and stab each other over men.
