Topic: Need help with replies from women | |
---|---|
Ok, I understand how Mingle works. You find someone that you would like to get to know better and then you send them a message to see if they are somewhat interested in you. However, I send all these messages and when I look at my sent folder only (2) have actually read my message. Here I am thinking no one wants to respond to me, but it is just that they have not read the message yet. Why, are these people on Mingle if they do not check their messages? Isn't this the whole point of being on a dating website; to meet new people. I would think a week to read a message is enough time.....
Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated. |

They could already be talking with someone & are taken? Many women wont read messages unless a persons profile appeals, they check the profile first. There is a lot of competition on Mingle, so make your profile amazing and good luck.

Actually; I am guilty of that sometimes. I am only on here for a short time and may not have time to read the emails. I get to them eventually but it could take a few days.

You have to add the magic words "I wants to slap yo on the butt!"
I, actually, have never tried this approach, but I heard it works wonders. |

I am also one guilty of this...I might read the message ...and forget..or get busy.. or maybe just not answer at all.O.o

I am not here very often ..I take a very long time to read my messages...sometimes.I cannot be here as much, due to my health and my son.I have made some great friends here though, they ARE my Family. Some of the profiles do say, only here for my friends. Be patient...it is a turn-off if you are pushy.JMO. Welcome and best wishes. |

Thanks for everyone's response. I guess women probably get just a little bit more message then us guys do. Probably a full time job for women reading all the messages they get. I guess I just need to be patient.

Reality ... join in on the forums and make friends.

Yep. I just made one today.
She is a clown but that's ok with me. Instead of looking for the one right now, get to know 20 that are here to be friends. I could use 20 friends. The one will show up. She maybe already here. Do I have to dress up? |

You have not posted very much ...keep posting in the forums and let people get to know you. ^^^Actually how Mingle2 really works^^^ not sending out a bunch of messages to profiles which were created on a drinking binge one sad night in 2008 never to be logged onto again... |

i think everyone who is joining mingle must check his/her a/c 2 times in a week if someone is not doing so mingle must deactivate that account... this approach will decrease no. of users but all members will be permanent and responsive...

6 of one, half a dozen of another.
Previously I have spent many years ( yes years ) in the forums and I never met anyone in person. And I have sent e-mails by the dozens and only recieved a few replies. What turned out the best is responding to respectful, recieved e-mails. I have met, dated and was engaged to one mingler by this method. My fiance never posted in the forums. So, again, 6 of one, half dozen of another. |

I always thought the point of dating in general is patience...It would seem this is not the case online.
Sorry, but I'm getting annoyed again... |

It can vary. Sometimes I'm on here a lot posting and checking msgs. Other times, life gets in the way and it can be weeks before I check/respond to a msg.
Also like others have said, before sending a msg, check to see how long it has been since the person's logged on. |

They could already be talking with someone & are taken? Many women wont read messages unless a persons profile appeals, they check the profile first. There is a lot of competition on Mingle, so make your profile amazing and good luck. One slight correction: There is a lot of competition on Mingle (or anywhere else, this is not specific to this place) FOR VERY GOOD LOOKING PEOPLE. Very good looking people are constantly bombarded with "gimme, gimme," and they half the time don't even read the messages, and the ones they read, they forget, and weeks later they'd been sent, because these very good looking people don't come here often, only when there is nothing else on, which is rare, in their lives. So the "lot of competition" does not apply to me, for instance, and I therefore stopped writing letters to any women, period. An uphill battle is never to be won. It's easier to stay at the base camp, and eat salami sandwiches and wash it down with coca cola, than try to reach for the top, even just for halfway to the top. -------------- Make your profile look amazing!! If you are amazing, say the truth, and you'll be competed for. If you are not amazing, then lie, and watch the white of their eyes turn blue with anger for duping them into seeing you at a coffee date. There are many ways to milk a cow, but no matter how you slice it, it's still baloney. I'm in the baloney party. All others in the other party (the "gold, therefore it shines", party) are in a league so above mine that I can't see them through the cloud cover. --------------- The lesson for me, OP, is that I come here to enjoy the forums, but to find a date, it is impossible for a guy like me. Many others do, but those guys and gals are either amazing, or lie that they are amazing. I am or do neither. |
