I went to see William Thursday night.... I was so afraid to hug him because he was so frail. He wants to eat but the lesions on his intestines have narrowed the passageway and the pain meds slow down the digestion process so much that he gets frequent blockages. The protein shakes are not his favorite so he doesn't want to be bothered with them but they might be the best bet for him right now.

Eating can be so difficult when you are ill. My Dad like the Vanilla equate from Walmart with coconut flavoring added and then shake freeze it in a nutella jar because it was easy to eat out of and hold. If he got tired or full we could just put the lid back on and pop it back in the freezer.
