With promises you stole me
from my world,
To find you displayed me
A nightmare unfurled
My face on fabric
Displayed at half mast
Looming intrusions
Oh what shadows they cast

Clear as day
my dreams insight
I wanted this
Yet now I dream
of the night,


Not just the night
Just a deep dark place
Where the stars are my friend
And refuse to illuminate your face

You took me and gave
Food illegal to sell
But rather than heaven
I descended to Hell

Part worn
Fully torn
I am second hand
Rich to rag
From beauty to bland.

Talk to myself
Hugging my knees
Trapped now
As a closed window breeze.

With feelings.
