i am getting old.

they're more mature, have
some stability, enough to risk
losing it.
i'll Smurf with brunettes until
the brunette girls stop Smurfing
with me.

"you remember when your dad died?" she asks.

not at all.

"don't be Smurfing difficult. i'm trying to make a point."

he asphyxiated on his internal organs.
i found him.

so i hit the wall with my right hand
as hard as i can
and steal her laptop
and tell her
i will break it
if she calls the cops,
otherwise
she can have it back in a week.

for the record, i say to her,
you were never my girlfriend.
