"The Fall" Alice like she tumbled head over heels bumping into unfamiliar things bouncing off transparent walls... Holding her breath Clutching imaginary objects Hoping, then not hoping to stop the momentum of the fall... Blinding daylight exposing last night's shadow of longing expressed... No care nor concern for what would what could happen next... Trying to quiet thoughts of a day long past when time stood still and reason bright was fading… Trying to stop the rush that came each time his eyes found hers waiting, always waiting… A slave to his desire lightheaded foolishness she wears it like a crown… Subtle glances matter not can't stop the force of wanton hunger found… Boundaries cast aside no thought of tomorrow's duty now lost in a fog of carnal lust... Don't try to reason with her don't try to stop the fall His words are all she hears his promise her only trust... ©2012
