To those of you women divorced, why did you keep your surname?

My children were 4 and 2 years old at the time of our divorce and I didn't want to have them confused as to "why does Mommy have that last name and we have this one??" That and the school district here is really annoying with families with different surnames.

I originally kept my married name for my sons... I went back to my maiden name for business but I'm waiting for the expiration date of my license and my passport to make the complete change over...
|

Not divorced, but not much difference. I added my maiden name to my married name so I have a hyphened surname. Why? Because I could.
