I'm wondering if any of you fellows actually send messages to or chat with a lady to maybe start communication which might lead to a friendship? Who knows where a friendship will lead? I'm old fashioned & like to think the man will be first to show interest unless I see someone I'd really like & send message - then maybe chat - maybe become friends & see how it goes.

i can't speak for all the gentlemen here on mingle2, but i will. the cats here have all taken the time to create a profile. it ain't easy to think up of a screen name that is appealing to the opposite sex, answer more than two questions about yourself, and write more than one sentence describing who we are. then we then scroll through hundreds of pages, deciding who to mutual match with, post insightful things on the forums, and now you are asking for us to initiate a conversation?
