I have not lied since about 1974 when I changed. I realized I was too lazy to keep up with the network of lies you tell to support the original lie. If you want to get all nicky-picky about it I have told two lies THAT DON'T COUNT since then.
I told my kids thunder was nothing to be scared of as it was two clouds bumping. The Jump game started with thunder. Whoever couldn't jump high with thunder got tickled. Neither jumped high enough. Both loved thunder. I think my little 2 year old would cheat. She’d collapse against my leg giggling instead of jumping. I promise I had not touched her ribs yet. My 4 year old son was not better. He’d barely rise on his toes and clamp his arms to his sides with a huge grin on his face. What do you do with children that are so lazy they won’t even try? I told my son snakes could not be in his room at night. The mommy and daddy snakes made them sleep just like we did. He only woke up that one time. These DON’T COUNT since they are common daddy knowledge. So let's not get persnickety. And this dear mommies, is why daddies are the best. You cannot compete with daddy knowledge. High 5 for the men! EDIT: I am hoping ya'll have something you amused your children with I can add to my arsenal of daddy knowledge so I can be totally prepared for grandkids! |

I taught my daughter that the 'tooth mummy' was real and the 'tooth fairy' did not exist. So we had so much fun with that. If she ever caught me replacing the tooth with the money, she would get double the money. She did catch me too. No myths here, lol

I Told my kids there was only Family day at our house not Mother and Father's Day. We had kids that were daycare kids, foster kids, exchange students, adopted, and birth kids. And Dad was sometimes divorced, deployed, or deceased or Mom had somekind of work thing or hospital procedure so Dad or the Nanny was on duty so holidays could be "different" than the the hyped theme too.
