I've been innocently asked MANY times for my hand in marriage by men from other countries!

Do they SERIOUSLY think that a woman would actually say "yes" to a man she's never even met or have any connection with? THAT'S INSANE!!

Not that you are desperate, they are to get to the USA.

hah. I've received several of those emails. Also from men who say they're in the US, but their typing style/wording suggests they're from another country.

They're just plain stupid.

This, and they don't know that a woman can go to jail and lose her right to her firstborn if she marries to usher someone in, and only for that.

They also think it's okay because in a lot of foreign countries, like France and Italy (these are the only two countries I am willing to vouch for sure they exist), some parents prearrange marriages for their children, and the kids only see each other the first time about two weeks afte the marriage has been consummated (coz that, traditionally, is a job for the groom's father.)

Just want to come to US, will do anything to get here. Marriage quickens the process.

Humm not much different them Mail Order Brides... It has been happening for years only now it is on the other foot women can have their pick as well..

it is not all the time people propose marriages because they want to come to US. i think there are other men who made their way to the US nad later got married to an American citizen. It all dpends on the mutual understanding between both of u. i know somw women coem to Africa to marry their loved ones and later decide to stay or go back to the US.THE KEY THING IS LOVE BECAUSE THERE ARE SEVERAL WAYS U CAN SEE YOUR MAN BEFORE MAKING ANY DECISION.

I wonder if there is a way to get them to think that I live somewhere that palygamy is accepted and that I need each and every one of THEM to send me money for my bridal expenses????

"MY MAN"? ....There is no "understanding" between us because I do not know these men....therefore, there is no relationship!
