NFL for instance, do you think football players are over-paid?

yes I think so. It does not apply to just NFL either, probably all pro sports.

Yes Yes and Yes. Not including practices, workouts and watching film.Lol a team will play 4 preseason games and 16 regular games. That is 20 hours a year. And the average offensive player or defensive player is only on the field half of the game so 10 hours a year. Not a bad way to make a living.

Well sure they are overpaid but certainly not more so than say
people in the entertainment industry - actors, directors, tv
personalities. Not as egregious as many in the business world
either - corporate executives for instance.

Pro athletes also have to contend with very short careers as
athletes. Often only a few years.

Perhaps it is time to limit the maximum compensation that anyone
could receive in a year to say $300,000 annually and if they earn
more then goes to pay off national debt. Kind of like
a maximum wage. We could also have a maximum net amount of total
savings of say $5M. That'd help close the wealth discrepancy.

Let's face it. Nobody needs more than $300,000 per year to live
comfortably. Nobody needs more than $5M in the bank.
This is assuming universal healthcare and indexed for inflation
of course.
