BBC because it is the BBC.. though it's not perfect, but I like the fact that it is not a business or run by the g'vmnt.. we pay a tv licence fee that pays for everything.. at times I do begrudge this fee, but the quality of the programme's and having virtually no adverts is worth it..

Isn't the BBC at war with the Murdock holding BskyB? If so, I like them , but how reliable is their input? I like PBS, but use the internet for comparison opinions before making a decision on any filtered news! Of course I haven't turned on a TV in about 8 months so..... |

Hi Sojourning Soul, Not so much the BBC but their is a public enquiry into them as well as police investigations going into the printed press and the Murdock's, you can find out more on the following site and even watch the interviews from those have dealt with them, from celebs to PM's and so on.. its affecting a lot of people and not sure how it will affect investigative journalism, for there is a 'just' need for that.. http://www.levesoninquiry.org.uk/ |

I'm well aware of the criminal and corrupt ways of the Murdocks and their empire. It pollutes the USA with it's bias propaganda to a large degree too, as I am sure you are well aware. The idiot public seems like the Johnny 5 robot of "Short Circuit" always wanting input, but too lazy to get off the couch, put down the remote, leave the beer and pizza, and research the internet for the ACTUAL news. They settle for the biased propaganda of one corporate network or another, polluted with ads from other corporations, munch during 5 minutes of those commercials waiting for another 3-5 minutes of programming, before the bombardment begins again! It's sad! But like any addiction, they can't be cured until they admit the problem! Most will admit to NOTHING! So the damage continues! Their programming complete! "Todays program sponsored in part by World War 3 and the war machine, narrated by another banker schill mouthpiece!" They wouldn't blink! |
