Topic: The Irish Slave Trade – The Forgotten “White” Slaves | |
---|---|
The Irish slave trade began when James II sold 30,000 Irish prisoners as slaves to the New World. His Proclamation of 1625 required Irish political prisoners be sent overseas and sold to English settlers in the West Indies. By the mid 1600s, the Irish were the main slaves sold to Antigua and Montserrat. At that time, 70% of the total population of Montserrat were Irish slaves.
Ireland quickly became the biggest source of human livestock for English merchants. The majority of the early slaves to the New World were actually white. From 1641 to 1652, over 500,000 Irish were killed by the English and another 300,000 were sold as slaves. Ireland’s population fell from about 1,500,000 to 600,000 in one single decade. Families were ripped apart as the British did not allow Irish dads to take their wives and children with them across the Atlantic. This led to a helpless population of homeless women and children. Britain’s solution was to auction them off as well. During the 1650s, over 100,000 Irish children between the ages of 10 and 14 were taken from their parents and sold as slaves in the West Indies, Virginia and New England. In this decade, 52,000 Irish (mostly women and children) were sold to Barbados and Virginia. Another 30,000 Irish men and women were also transported and sold to the highest bidder. In 1656, Cromwell ordered that 2000 Irish children be taken to Jamaica and sold as slaves to English settlers. Many people today will avoid calling the Irish slaves what they truly were: Slaves. They’ll come up with terms like “Indentured Servants” to describe what occurred to the Irish. However, in most cases from the 17th and 18th centuries, Irish slaves were nothing more than human cattle. |

My ancestors came to America as indentures. I don't think they had it as bad as the Africans though.

I wonder why the British royalty think they are better than anyone else?
America was supposed to have won their independence from the British. But low and behold, they still consider them their "mother country." and they all love the royalty. What a bunch of evil creatures they are. Down with the monarchy! I don't like them. I see no use for them. |

Slavery is universal.
Aliens: and human slaves The practice of slavery was considered more humane to the Draconian galactic conquerors of this galaxy. The Sirian dog soldiers used to simply slaughter their enemy without mercy, going from planet to planet. Then a more humane galactic government gained control, the Draconians. They employed a different method of conquering. They infiltrated in a covert manner, making slaves of the planetary inhabitants. The mythical story of Joshua and the battle of Jericho is a good example of the practice of the more humane act of taking slaves instead of killing without mercy. Soldiers were told to kill every man, woman and child in the city without mercy. Most of them obeyed, but as the conquest continued, some of the soldiers took pity on their victims and would instead of killing them, allow them to be slaves. This was considered to be more "merciful." Of course the story of Joshua and the battle of Jericho is pure fiction but it represents how this galaxy operated and why slavery is still practiced here on earth by humans. Humans have been slaves and then slave owners themselves throughout the history of the earth and are greatly influenced by galactic customs and practices. To a true compassionate human, slavery is abhorrent and freedom is paramount. A person or human who would take slaves or kill slaves, in my opinion, is a soulless psychopath with no compassion. |

This practice of interbreeding Irish females with African men went on for several decades and was so widespread that, in 1681, legislation was passed “forbidding the practice of mating Irish slave women to African slave men for the purpose of producing slaves for sale.” In short, it was stopped only because it interfered with the profits of a large slave transport company.
England continued to ship tens of thousands of Irish slaves for more than a century. Records state that, after the 1798 Irish Rebellion, thousands of Irish slaves were sold to both America and Australia. There were horrible abuses of both African and Irish captives. One British ship even dumped 1,302 slaves into the Atlantic Ocean so that the crew would have plenty of food to eat. There is little question that the Irish experienced the horrors of slavery as much (if not more in the 17th Century) as the Africans did. There is, also, very little question that those brown, tanned faces you witness in your travels to the West Indies are very likely a combination of African and Irish ancestry. http://www.informationclearinghouse.info/article31436.htm |

The privatized prison systems popping up all over the place are a way in which the indentured slaves will be brought back into operation when the New World Order is in full control.
Private prisons are not held accountable for how inmates are treated because they are not state owned or governed. They are all about money. Eventually all the prisoners will be made to work and be used for cheap labor. Of course they probably won't get any of the money, but they may be indentured to pay fines etc. So in the coming years, try not to get arrested. You may end up as an imprisoned slave of the New World Order. |

A few years back a company wanted to build a private prison in this small town I live in. The community rejected it. The one person who campaigned for it ended up getting his business black balled by the community. They were mostly the churches. In hindsight, I guess churches are good for something.

Turning this thread into The Global Slavery Thread
Seventeen Cents an Hour...that's criminal As stated by many, the Federal Prison Complex produces one hundred percent of all military helmets, ammunition belts, bullet proof vests, Identification tags, shirts, pants tents, bags and even canteens. Not only are prisoners used to manufacture military equipment, prison workers provide ninety eight percent of the total market for equipment assembly services. They produce ninety three percent of paints and paintbrushes, ninety two percent of stove assemblies, forty six percent of body armor, thirty six percent of all home appliances, thirty percent of all microphones, headphones, and speakers, and they even manufacture twenty one percent of all office furniture. Everything from parts for airplanes to medical supplies, prisoners produce even more than this, they are even used to train seeing eye dogs for the blind. http://reality-bytes.hubpages.com/hub/Is-The-Prison-Industrial-Complex-A-New-Form-Of-Slavery |
