The things I think.
I write down in ink.
Right here upon this very page.
Life I do not try to gauge.
I speak of a life someday to share.
And to have someone who will care.
Things like this.
These things do they exist?
We all know that someday.
We will find that one that will come our way.
The love will be there.
At times we try to prepare.
But it seems to happen like a blast.
It hits you so fast.
You don’t see it coming your way.
Then all of a sudden it hits you one day.
With such power it almost takes you down.
As you get up dust off and look around.
It makes you wonder what that was.
It made your head spin so fast it is in a buzz.
About the time you regain your senses.
You realize you had let down your defenses.
This thing called love had hit you like a brick wall.
About the time you’re thinking and trying to recall.
What happen and how come I did not see.
That it was coming at me.
They say you never know.
For it hits you like a blow.
Just be happy to have it come your way.
And hopefully it will be there to stay.
