99.9% of people saying they are christan arent, i wished i could find on of those .01% How do you decide who is christian and who isn't? To walk in the way remains extremely important, but to love, accept without condemnation but to love unconditionally agape love from the childlike innocence version of love.....not to judge another's relationship with our lord and saviour.....help another forgive and accept forgivness........... |

I find that a lot of people saying that they are Christian are not. They may talk the talk on Sundays and then they go home and walk an entirely different walk.
Christianity is knowing God, and sometimes I find that I need to refocus myself on the Lord and do what He says to do instead of what they are doing over there. It can be a lonely life. |

Christianity is knowing God, and sometimes I find that I need to refocus myself on the Lord and do what He says to do instead of what they are doing over there. It can be a lonely life. Matthew 13: Jesus Teaches in Parables ... 24, "Another parable put he forth unto them, saying, The kingdom of heaven is likened unto a man which sowed good seed in his field: 25, But while men slept, his enemy came and sowed tares among the wheat, and went his way. 26, But when the blade was sprung up, and brought forth fruit, then appeared the tares also. 27, So the servants of the householder came and said unto him, Sir, didst not thou sow good seed in thy field? from whence then hath it tares? 28, He said unto them, An enemy hath done this. The servants said unto him, Wilt thou then that we go and gather them up? 29, But he said, Nay; lest while ye gather up the tares, ye root up also the wheat with them. 30, Let both grow together until the harvest: and in the time of harvest I will say to the reapers, Gather ye together first the tares, and bind them in bundles to burn them: but gather the wheat into my barn." |

Only the Lord is perfect!!! But, we are a work in progress! He's growing us. Remember this: Rom_8:1, "There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit." |

I used to go to church, at least 5 times a week, used to follow the bibe to the letter till about 2 years ago! I dont want to go into the reasons why I have stopped going but when someone says they love THEIR god more then their own flesh and blood, kinda puts a damper on things!

Corinthians 15:50 God, our Creator is above ALL things! He expects us to love our family. But... where would you, or your family, be without the Lord? |

It is not a bad thing to step aside from a congregation to meditate on God's Word. But if you leave the Church without continuing to pray and study God's Holy Word, you may find yourself in trouble. If you do continue to study His Word you will find that He puts you back in fellowship with those you would otherwise avoid, but with better skills in dealing with them. Never give up on your brothers and sisters in Christ! |

Maybe your expectations are too high...........maybe they are doing their best to try to live up to the expectations but are failing miserably, asking forgiveness and trying again........perfection only came once in human form...... |

I have been a christian, devoted 100% for 20 years. Now I cant stand 99% of Christians. The religiousness and pretentiousness and deceit repels me. I refuse to have my child and myself near them. Yet I adore God? Anyone been there? Or am i the only one? |

From biblical point of view a Christian is a Christ like person. Many people will claim to be christians but the question should be are they christ like.In Timothy 2:14-21,this is allured to where one wants to call on the name of the lord minus departing from sin which God is not in support of.I dont refer to perfection but sincere repentance.Acts 2:38 talks about the afforementioned.Repentance should be big part of christian living and I for one dont think its given its due significance in christian doctrine nowadays. To answer the question I feel the same way only with hypocrites but pray for people sincerely trying to repent.Like Paul I pray that christ be fully formed in them.

No, you're not the only one; there are many like yourself. But the point is, people like you and I--and others--are not agnostic by any means. We have merely come to a conclusion that cannot identify with what is known as the Christian norm. I am 67 years old, young lady, and have blown away many potentially productive years of my life on what I originally thought to be the gospel truth, only to have come to the conclusion that what is commonly accepted as Christianity-at least among fundamentalists--is largely based on what might be called as "Christian Mythology."

Peter K PK, The Lord is aware that many will not stay on the path that has been laid. We are encouraged to "follow" The Lord God Almighty...we should be "fishers of men". Not pew warmers and guru followers. When we first received our salvation we should have kept our eyes on His Word and not follow too closely to man. But we are to keep our eyes on Him that way we don't get confused and lost. The Lord's Way is the Norm. Following men has led many astray. When those men fall their followers are crushed and disenchanted. Their faith is suddenly gone but they never should have put their faith in man: only in God. |
