(Don't get me wrong, I have no delusions, it would prabably SUCK REAL BAD!!!!)
Say some disaster took nobody you love (including pets), but everything you had. You a have a modest bank account. If you have kids (I don't) they will be WELL taken care of. blah blah but you alone have the clothes on your back, a bedroll, food/water/shelter, a good book, and a lamp. Forgive the simple premise! Am I the only one in some small way, that would feel somewhat liberated?......(perhaps just allow you your cell phone......for the kids who won't understand) |

Ha!...gimme a knife and i'll make you a spear for fishing. Pitch a swag on the beach and we'll dine on seafood. Follow a river from the sea inland and there be bush tucker to be had. We'll not starve, of this i can assure you
We have become so complacent, dependant, and greedy, that we fail to see the simple beauty of the resources this planet has graciously provided for our every need. And what's even more tragic is...the majority of a new generation will never know those simple pleasures. |

HaHAA Hippie!
If not a survival manual, perhaps fiction, what would you want it to be? I'm thinking Persian Poetry or quotes by Twain right now.Perhaps later I'll rethink. |

But at the same time, it's a chance to start again and have everything fresh. I think everything is how you look at it. There's always something god around the next corner or the one after. |

My survival kit consists of lots of alcohol. Anything like that happens, give me ten minutes and I won't care anymore.

I've read so many great books it would probably be one of them. I guess I would select "The Simarilon." <sp> It wins out over: Lord of the Rings Rendezvous with Rama Stranger in a Strange Land The Magician:Apprentice series Louis La'mour Westerns <Sacketts> Starship Troopers Dragonriders of Pern and you get my drift... |

Hummm did not have much growing up but always had my family......So as long as I have my family everything else is minor......I could live the simple life out in the middle of no where as long as I had my family...
