Almost anything is forgiveable in my books as long as the person truly is sorry. And, if they are truly sorry, they will not do it again. That is the real test of how sorry someone actually is. Yes i absolutely agree with that. Shy,You made me remember one of our college lecturer... We named him "SORRY SIR" 
He was oddly habitual to say sorry after every sentence....not only during conversation but even during lectures too.. sorry sir!
