Gatlinburg is a resort town about 45 minutes from Knoxville. During the heart of tourist season, it's about 2 1/2 hours from Knoxville, if you know what I mean. They've got benches all up & down the main street. Best place in America for people watching. When it gets dark, the people get funnier-looking, and the outfits get wilder. A large fountain drink, bag of popcorn, it's better than any movie you'll ever see!
