SUGAR LAND, Texas - Deputies with the Ft. Bend County Sheriff's Office have arrested two young men for robbing girl scouts who were selling cookies. They say Justin Roger-Zenon and a juvenile accomplice face aggravated robbery charges.

Roger-Zenon, 18, and the 16-year-old suspect are accused of snatching the cash box from the scouts as they sold cookies Saturday afternoon in front of a Wal-Mart on Grand Parkway in Sugar Land. The cash box contained $200.

FBCSO Chief Deputy Craig Brady had some choice words for the robbers.

"I'd say it was a cowardly act to pick on girls trying to sell cookies. It wasn't very risky, at least that's what their perception was."

It turned out the girls selling cookies were pretty 'tough cookies' themselves. They chased after the robbers.

"I started hitting the boy that was in the passenger seat. I think he learned his lesson a little bit," says Iravia Cotton.

The scouts managed to give deputies good descriptions of the vehicle and the robbers.

The Wal-Mart has excellent security footage to boot. An alert deputy spotted the car involved pulled it over and was able to develop leads from the stop.

A relative took Roger-Zenon to the Sheriff's Office where he surrendered. The juvenile was arrested at his home on a warrant. Rogers-Zenon is out on bond.

The case garnered national attention. People from southeast Texas and throughout the U.S. sent money to the FBCSO to replace the lost funds. Brady says they did that and then some.

"I think they profited."

The Girl Scouts responded to the incident in a statement, which stated the "the safety and well-being" of its girls and volunteers is always top priority. Scouts are required to always have two adults with them at the cookie booths while keeping money out of sight.

Am I the only one who see's a problem with what the girls did? They put themselves in immediate danger all over a few dollars of cookie money. Hell even it it was a thousand dollars it wasn't worth it. They should not have chased two subjects that used force to take money. They could have had a gun, knife or just could have decided to turn around and really hurt one of the girls.

THEN grabbing the bumper of the car.....Really? Like they are going to be able to keep the car from going anywhere and just would have gotten seriously hurt or even killed with that stupid stunt.

THEN jumping through the window of the car to hit one of the subjects. First of all since the subjects were not trying to hurt the girls and just get away throwing punches was out of line and in my opinion is not resonable force since they chased the subject and wasn't trying to restrain them but trying to cause harm. Also jumping in the window or even reaching in is just stupid. What if the guy grabbed her arm and drove off or pulled her in the car and took her with them or what if they had a weapon on the car?

Also bragging about hitting the guy and saying he learned a lesson because she hit him in the face a few times, that is not within the Scouting values at all. I am an Eagle Scout and been involved in Scouting my WHOLE life. It is also clear they didn't follow the rules by keeping the money hidden.

They should ALL be kicked out of Scouts or at least be suspended. Also where the hell were the two adults that were required to be there? Why didn't they step in and take control of this situation. If they were there they should be charged with endangerment. These girls put themselves and anyone else in the parking lot or in the robbers path in immediate danger.
