I'm kinda hoping it's not too high on the list. Otherwise I'm screwed. Did I mention I can juggle? A sense of humor shows intelligence... you better be careful! lol |

Yes, intelligence is at the very top of the list. I'm really really tired of dating people who think a neutrino is some kind of pasta dish. Oh H3ll.........it's not????? |

To answer the question......... Yea.... I need to be able to have a conversation with her. One that has verbs, nouns and.....adjectives in it!!!! But thats just me!!!! Just be careful of the pronouns! It's a "ME" kind of world to many. |

I love smart people as long as they don't make me feel like a dork for not knowing what they know . Things like..."Oh my God! I can't believe you didn't know that!!..what a dumbass".

Depends on their package ....... hahahahaha. I'm being a bad gurl today.

If she can carry a conversation and not drink more beer than me ... We good!

Means nothing to a man. More scares them off. Hard to find a geek willing to put up with my whacky knowledge about everything.

Intelligence is not necessarily important. How many people are actually intelligent? I just need a normal girl who is able to interest me.

Intelligence is important to compatibility in a relationship.
No, they don't have to be rocket scientists, cause I sure ain't neither. |

How high is intelligence on your list of qualities? Let's say you meet a thoughtful, caring person but they don't understand what you consider simple words and phrases. When you are looking for a teamplayer.... does intelligence matter? at this point, Im 42 with a college student and a preschooler,, we have to be on a similar intellectual page so,, it matters,,, |

Well it is nice to have someone to look up to....... someone to learn from......guess being able to learn from eachother........I always seem to get minipulated......????

I like them to be able to read at least a high school level. You all know I have Terri Scrabble. You need to be able to spell a word with at last 5 different letters of the alphabet and you can't write things like 'cuz and 'cos because the extra letters in because or 'cause are just too much for you to type.
You don't have to be a wicked genius to be with me. There are different kinds of intelligence. I am chatty but often socially awkward. I like being with someone who is very socially skilled and good with people and situations. For instance, a guy who can deal with a used car dealer or handle the pressure that his mother doesn't like me or something. Or when you get in a car accident and the other guy comes charging out of the car ready to kill people, he can talk him down from that tree and calmly exchange information. Skills like that are worth a lot in life. Also someone who knows to say the right thing and the right time and how to say it. Whether it's criticism or praise, it really matters how they say it. If they have a lot of empathy and are good at comforting you when things go bad, etc. Stuff like that goes a long way in a relationship. |

My heart drops when women tell me they are in college or have a few years of college behind them and they can't even spell two syllable words. Their reliance on text communications works to their disadvantage because some women don't even like guys to use shorthand. In any regard! And I understand their perspective.
Right now, I looking for someone to just be smart enough. I don't require much but where it really hurts is in the company of others when someone shows their lack of brains. You can't hope that laughing and positivity will get you out of everything. Seriously, if a woman loves her gum more than I care to hear and see her chew it, that's a deal breaker. |

When you are looking for a teamplayer.... does intelligence matter? As much as I'd like to think I'd be drawn to a bimbo, intelligence does play a role for me. Doesn't have to be a rocket scientist or astrophysicist. If she's pretty, exceptions can be made though, don't get me wrong |

You know, it's funny. So many women ask me how I end with with dweebs, dorks, geeks, and nerds as friends. They want the smart boyfriend. It's not hard. Listen to what he is saying and then pose questions of relevance. If is he talking astrophysics, ask how something he just said works. If he is talking rocket science, ask how he did something he just told you. AND LISTEN. Smart guys love girls who pay attention what they are saying and ask intelligent questions based on paying attention. But I think everyone loves that.
