This question actually went with something mentioned earlier: A. Everyone was immortal until they ate from the tree of knowledge of good/evil blah blah. B. But if they were already immortal, how did eating up the knowledge (g/e blah blah) suddenly make them mortal that God would then state, "Let them not eat from the Tree of Eternal Life or whatever that tree was called. (Why couldn't they just be called Acorn or Mango trees.. seriously. Long names = Not cute) It's just "Tree of Life" or "ToL" and you can call the other one "ToK" to make it simpler. Genesis 3:19 In the sweat of thy face shalt thou eat bread, till thou return unto the ground; for out of it wast thou taken: for dust thou art, and unto dust shalt thou return. Mankind had been eternal, but was then cursed to eventually die. When I debate/speak on the Bible, it is merely me trying to decipher different perceptions on things that, usually/normally, I find fault/difficulty in understanding. However, when I do this; I try to take into consideration that ALL the Bible is in its whole, or at best partly, valid. Meaning, if God exists, and Adam and Eve scenario all happened. Then the Serpent exists. Despite some variances I've heard over the past few months; one thing remains true; the Serpent was, in some way shape or form, a "entity" of Satan (ie, either he WAS Satan, or the Serpent was being "controlled" by Satan, or the Serpent was "tricked" by Satan being the most common I've heard.) I have no clue if that made any sense.. ..hoping it did? o.O The serpent was Satan, not a talking animal. "And the LORD God said unto the serpent, Because thou hast done this, thou art cursed above all cattle, and above every beast of the field;" Don't snakes live in "fields"? It doesn't say "every other" beast, it says all beasts. The serpent wasn't a beast. "upon thy belly shalt thou go, and dust shalt thou eat all the days of thy life: " This is a fancy way of saying, you will be humiliated and defeated, but it also indicates that Satan has been condemned to live on Earth rather than in the spiritual realm. The Bible is full of parables, metaphors, similie and other figures of speech. You have to take this into account when you read it or you won't understand what you are reading. |

..this always confused me. What does he actually mean by "cursed"? Cattle, beasts, how are they "cursed"? Or is this just, as you say, a metaphor; meaning roughly that he will now be of a "lesser" value? Cursed: detestable; hateful Out of all the creatures God created, he finds Satan to be the most detestable. |

i dont even know what you watched i think they used used tapes to kill is not to feed our self it is to lie in wait to murder someone Sex for pleasure is lust I didn't watch anything. I read his statement. And the link next to it. Such was his own written words. He said he "preaches/believes in" the Serpent Seed Doctrine. trust me, or even ask Morning Song, that's one thing I know A LOT about. "The Serpent Seed doctrine" is one of many false teachings circulating around out there..... God's Word said this woud happen....

The sad part is this:
FALSE teachers will present Bibical TRUTH also....right along WITH their ERRONEOUS teaching .... but here's the thing... they usually will HIDE the false teaching at first,and wait until one is sucked into their cult !!!! NOTICE: In the "STATEMENT OF FAITH" located on the Shepherd's Chapel homepage, there is NO MENTION WHATSOVER ,of their "SERPENT SEED TEACHING" !!! IT REMAINS HIDDEN TIL LATER...IN OTHER WORDS... IT IS KEPT SECRET AT FIRST !! 
( Btw...The Bible even tells us that SECRET HERESIES would sneak into the fold ( to scatter God's sheep and lead many astray).
If one googles info on the Shepeherd's Chapel..it will mention the Shepherd's Chapel serpent seed doctrine that they follow.but sadly, it is not even mentioned on their homepage. This is how cults fool people into falling for them...
the erroneous part of their teaching is kept SECRET until one is sucked in !!!
ps....on the Shepherd Chapel's webiste, the "Answers to critics" link only briefly mentions the serpent seed doctrine....just enough is mentioned to keep it "palitable" to the reader , of course.....and therefore, The TRUTH of what the serpent seed doctine is really all about, is NEVER EVEN MENTIONED AT ALL!!!!!
In fact, just a few scriptures are mentioned on the link.....to make the serpent seed doctrine appear as no big deal...... and no one is actually aware yet of how the cult will TWIST those very same scriptures later on...and then the real truth is only found out too late... after one is already sucked into the cult !!! I am praying people WILL get DELIVERED and SET FREE from this cult..

The bible says that secret heresies will sneak into the FOLD. NOT sneak into The BIBLE (as you seem to think) ....but into the FOLD. God's Sheepfold !!! God will not allow His Holy Word to have lies and myths and errors mixed in , as you seem to believe. God is Holy. God's HOLINESS and Lies do NOT mix. God IS The Word. yes i know.. but nevertheless everybody marks devil as a super bad guy why not consider that god is the bad one! upon consideration, I find it hard to fathom that the creator of such beautiful NATURE could be 'bad' but I do find it easier to fathom that jealousy for that creators love could cause one to be 'evil' and vengeful in their actions so the devil being 'bad' is not hard for me to fathom although I dont label in such a manner anything but actions and words, and I think the Devil would defintely be one who strives on behaving badly and inspiring others to do the same,,,, |

I am an atheist and i think that bible is just a fairy tale for grown-ups and a good way to manipulate stupid people. however one day i started to think about gods and devils actions. i understand that god released punished people and killed them .. with natures powers, he killed many people , but devil.. i believe he killed like 2 people, and he rules over hell.. but if he isn't such a bad guy.. maybe he is forced to do his job just like most us? What do you think? Remember this is just a thought and it's purely philosophical. The cosmic tale of light and dark, day and night, good and evil... |

Come on, Peter_pan.... Hades is the standard TRANSLATION for Sheol in the Septuagint, Josephus, Philo of Alexandria, and other Jewish works written in Greek. That's all it is...a word translation from hebrew to greek!!! Sure..the word hades has many different meanings...BUT the bible clearly shows what meaning of hades is being referred to..which is nothing more than the greek translation of the hebrew word sheol. NOTHING MORE !!! The bible is NOT telling us to believe in myths, just because the hebrew word sheol is translated into the greek word hades!!!
ps....You know, the devil is not stupid !!! He is very clever and cunning !!! But he is a liar also. And what better tactic for satan to use to win souls, then to bring false teachers into the fold, who then twist scriptures to actually try to convince people that the bible contains errors !! What better way for satan to get back at God !!! Satan wants to be AS God..and he also knows scripture !!! And knows how to twist scripture very well. Jesus said," if I be lifted up,I Will Draw ALL men
towards me." Now .... God's Word did NOT say, " if HELL and CONDEMNATION be lifted up, I will draw ALL men towards me." But is hell( sheol , hades) real? Yes. And God warns us in His Word about hell. (and God's Word also descibes hell...and it is not just a grave.....there are different meanings to some words in scripture...but God makes the meaning of hell very clear to us in scripture.) But God also draws us towards Him. God didn't come to condemn us to hell...God came to SAVE us. But God wants us to be with Him so much, and is why He also lets us know of the seriousness of hell. Yes.... Hell is a real place Peter_Pan..and don't let the devil fool you into beleiving such a place does not exist. Cause the devil seeks whom he may devour...and is out to win souls...also. Again.... God warns us in His Word about hell, cause he doesn't want to lose any of us to hell. In fact, Jesus the Good Shepherd loves us all so much, that He will look for that one lost sheep, until he finds that one lost sheep , and brings that lost sheep home. That's because God loves us and wants us all to be with Him ..for all of eternity .

When, in fact, such is a bold face lie. Even Spider, if he knows what the Doctrine entails, wouldn't agree with it. Because somehow miraculously, not only did the Serpent TALK, but SATAN convinced an animal, one who clearly according to the Doctrine does NOT believe in sex for pleasure; to have sex with not only a woman but one NOT of his own species.
