New blooms in my garden;now I am a bit surprised.

Some old trusted friends, come round year after year. Sweet smelling memories. Though only fintly tempting.

Going to the tips of weathered canes and pushing forward from peirceing painful thorns of life; little needles of temptation to spur my thoughts.

Some are brave burtsting out of the barely thawed ground; like rambuncious teenagers to inexperienced to wait to see if one more cold ache is still in store.

Even the flowers of the psalms are testing their reverence for Mother Nature and reminding us of past loves.

Dare my heart jump for the surprise of the volunteers that some indiscreet pidgeon fertilized among the brittle leaves and crisp twoigs if previous winter showers. They say love comes in the most unexpexted ways/places.

Is it possible these old gardeners hands could push up enough sand to glance longingly, strain her ear to hear a deeper voice, craft a little romance among the new blooms?

After all is winter really over? It has been so harsh. Strained even the strongest faith that to all things there is a season.

We will see. The wire is all a twitter, Little chirps here and there; send me furiously cleaning out the cobwebs. Early breezes adding color to her cheeks. and a ribbon to her hair.

Maybe Easter will give meaning to new blooms?
