Well, we all know what shining example the pill junkie Rush Limbaugh remains in the public eye.......didn't I hear the saying a few time....those without sin cast the first stone......I believe she is using medicines for a condition not to get high......Are you saying you look up to a drug addict??surprised shocked

I had to be put on BC at twelve to straighten out my biological issues to becoming a woman......without it I wouldn't have stopped my menstruation cycles on my own and would have lost a lot of blood and caused serious issues.....women do take them for reasons other than sex you know.

LPDon,

If I found out that were were a Democrat trying to make Republicans look bad, I wouldn't be surprised.

You *do* know that Premier Radio Networks, a subsidiary of Clear Channel Communications, does, according to Wikipedia:

.... auditions and hires actors to call in to talk radio shows and pose as listeners in order to provide shows, carried by Clear Channel and other broadcasters, with planned content in the form of stories and opinions. The custom caller service provided by Premiere Radio assures its clients they won't hear the same actor's voice for at least two months in order to appear authentic to listeners who might otherwise catch on.

Come on now, you don't see the irony in this post?

His addiction to pain killers doesn't bother me. Him calling this woman a "slut", because she needs birth control pills to be healthy does. It's mean-spirited, inaccurate and ignorant of the facts.

Oh and he's a former drug addict.

I hope that Rush Limbaugh keeps up his attacks on women's health issues.

I hope all the republicans keep up their attacks on women's health issues.

It paints them in a very bad light and makes them appear tom be out of touch with main stream America.

President Obama will win re-election for sure.

RIP GOP

you never know

I wonder what the republican turnout might be compared to the democratic,,,,

I think there are alot of people who agre with what the republican candidates are proposing, I think the christian majority is a SILENT majority but a majority just the same and could work in the republicans favor like it did for Bush

as a democrat, I agree with alot of the ideals/personal values of the republican candidates in terms of abortion/contraception/same sex marriage,,,etc,,

, I just dont see the political relevance of those ideals/values in terms of what a PRESIDENT has authority over ,,,,,or responsibility for,,,

Sadly, I think that people on both sides of the fence have lost touch. It's not even a republican or democrat thing anymore.

I think the American people are aware that over 90% of women have used birth control at one time or another in their lives.

For ther GOP and Rush to make an issue out of providing this at no cost to women makes no sense medically or financially. They are using it, or trying to, as a way to attack President Obama.

Simple as that.

I have seen the reports on the news of who they had testify before congress....5 guys?

This is a losing issue for the GOP and they are suckersw for falling into the debate.

there is a large percentage of people using internet and cable too

I dont think that weighs in for those opposing

I think what weighs in is the debate over who 'pays' for it,,,

You believe women who use birth control for any reason are sluts? Did you even pay attention to Sandra Fluke's story, or are you assuming Rush is giving you all the info you need?

I do believe women have the right to choose if they use it. I also believe they have a right to pay for it. (and not ask it of me).

For my woman I would be willing to pay for a part (if she did not want a child).

Yet Mr. Rush was rude in the way he said it.

It is still important to note.

If she was my daughter I would expect her to be at study in that time of her life.

and not bouncing on beds.

No insult intended.

set the bar low so more can reach it,,,,,it seems to be how 'equality' is being defined in modern days,,,

Id prefer we raise the BAR and then make it a part of the culture to promote and encourage and HELP people reach it,,,,

Just suppose......

You were on your company health care insurance committee.
Your health care provider, lets say Blue Cross, came to the committee and said "We can save the plan and evryone money if we provide free birth control pills to all the women covered under the company plan".

What would you do/say? NO Way? They have to pay? If free pills results in reduces costs for all those covered by the plan?

Let's get all the moral BS out of this discusion. It makes financial sense!!!

It's a women's health issue.

it depends upon what the evidence is that it saves money

there is sometimes 'false security' which actually increases the odds of something happening because people become so settled in the idea they wont,,,

there is sometimes actual evidence that something is secure

Id need to know which was involved in the decision....

I have seen the reports on the news of who they had testify before congress....5 guys?

Fluke is s feminist lawyer so I'm sure she has no agenda.
And if 90% of women have used birth control it doesn't seem to me that there is any problem with women getting birth control. Why is this even an issue then?

be cautious of wording and context

I think the statement was that they have used it IN THEIR LIFETIME

women of childbearing age range from 16-46, so to make a statement about what has happened in common over the lifetime of everyone who has been in that age range since birth control

is not necessarily an indication of how many women use bc at a GIVEN time , or in a GIVEN period of specific years,,

It should be provided to women free.

Dental check ups should be free.

Breast exams should be free.

as an ideal perhaps

as a reality , nothing is free, there are costs, for education, tools, manpower , which have costs that have to be collected SOMEWHERE,,,
