and the rain
pelted the window
life became vividly clear
it was as if her soul
had been given
the light of divine sensuality
and the freedom of forever
her eyes began to speak

He felt her words
caress his arms
as they revealed her secrets
they expressed more than he could have ever imagined
gave him more than he could have ever hoped for
her presence
her passion
her love
made him pull her closer
they made his eyes speak

Together
in the midst of a dying flame
that interrupted the darkness
and a gentle rain
that harbored
their silence
they fought tenderly
entwined by the words
that fell from their eyes
and the passion with their souls
