Topic: Escape to the water | |
---|---|
Let me slide into the cool water,
Floating between the layers of my pain and fear, Slipping like shimmering minnnows beneath the layers of oppressive chores' That seem to be draining the life out of me. Wash over me and bouy me up just a little while. These bones are tired and spent; I need to rest in your comforting caress. Empty my arms for a while and flow through my hair like the siren mermaid that I would be in another life. Rinse away effort and tears and cool down my fevered thoughts. Let me drift, I can return like the tide when I am renewed. Lay the moon across the surface like liquid silver and let me escape in my dreams until the morning dawn. |
