LOL,
Here read this, talk about lop-sided:

The Air Force’s four-month Iraq tours and extensive use of volunteer pilots from the Reserve and National Guard contrast sharply with an Army whose 15-month tours are sapping energy and morale.

In the Air Force, Iraq duty can even be cut to two months. Lt. Col. Bob Mortensen’s 457th Fighter Squadron - F-16Cs from Fort Worth, Texas - managed it by working a deal with another Reserve unit to share one four-month rotation.

How much longer can these flyers answer the call?

“As many times as we’re asked,” Mortensen said.

There have been 26,000 in this war, that they count. They dont count many cases of PTSD, which are included in the suit. Also:

Earlier this month, a federal appeals court in San Francisco issued a strong rebuke of the VA in ordering the agency to pay retroactive benefits to Vietnam War veterans who were exposed to Agent Orange and contracted a form of leukemia.

There were are far worse wars that they have casualties from.
Do they teach air force recruits to read?

There were many veterans here speaking out against their treatment. I still know some that are having problems with the agent orange controversy.

When they came here to visit out administration; the men were not allowed to speak out. As a soldier you cannot until released.

I was recently involved with a filibuster of sorts when that was happening a week or so ago. We stood outside as long as we could and read letters from soldiers to home and the letters from their families. They were very sad and maddening.

Here are a couple letters:
Before my second deployment, I was afraid. I knew what to expect. If these politicians really care about the troops, they would redeploy them back to the United States, refit our military to be able to respond to real threats, and make sure that everyone coming back has the proper care and support they need. If these Politicians don't want to do this, then they should strap on some body armor, pick up a rifle and a medical bag, and walk down the streets of Fallujah for seven months at a time.
–Joshua D, California

I am the wife of a US soldier. I am the person people forget about when politicians speak about the "toll" the war has taken on our soldiers and our country. The Army has taken my husband for 20 out of the 42 total months we have been enlisted. He is about to leave again and is being told he will be gone 15-18 months this time around. You do the math. That will mean he has been gone roughly 60% of the time we have been an Army family. This may be a political game to those in D.C., but to me, it's my life.
–Catherine S., Georgia

If the President won't do something to end this war; then the people must.

It would be terrible if the soldiers got the money and the war would have to be called off due to lack of funds. Sorry, just being sarcastic. I was listening to the radio today and some congressman wanted to impeach the President. It came on just after the V.A. violations.

If only we could impeach him. But.....we would need to impeach Chaney first. Otherwise we would have President Chaney.noway

Dayv, I am glad the system is working for you; however it is not flowing so smoothly for your fellow brothers and sisters in arms....it is not a media hysteria; it is real, it is true and it is appalling. We need to step up and not allow our soldiers to be treated as dispensible material.

What, is it a suprise to you how our gvt. treats soldiers?
They've ALWAYS treated them like **** - read Smedley Darlington Butler's account of what happened to W.W.1. soldiers protesting
outside the whitehouse for what they were promised and cheated out of.
**** them anyway; Poverty's no excuse for cutting throats for the king and civilians (who're mostly women and children), die 100 to 1 compared with soldiers in modern war, so why do they feel like such brave toughguys? If you join the mafia and go into other people's home waving guns around, don't be suprised if **** turns ugly. And don't be telling me you fought to make us free here at home - that's just self validating chicken****. There's never been
a conflict the U.S. has been in that wasn't engineered with false flag incidents just to make some greedy gangsters or bloated finaciers richer. 'Never been a "just" war.
Remember right before the invasion, with Bush encouraging the nation to worship the military? He slashed 27 million from veterans affairs!

Im sad for your predicament scatterbrains, its a shame that this great sacrifice is not shared by all Americans, but thats not going to happen. Im glad to hear a military wife speak out about this crappy illegal war. If they started the draft though they would lose all the couch warriors that support it.
Anyway, heres to you and all the brave men and women forced to bear our burdens alone!!drinker drinker

I worked at the VA Hospital back home and i quit disgusted at the DISRESPECT AND POOR CONDITIONS these veterans had to endure. I watched MANY veterans with agent orange DENIED care. They died waiting. I watched veterans get REFUSED AND TURNED AWAY simply because they were not INDIGENT OR HOMELESS. These are men and women who SERVED MY COUNTRY. Kept MY FREEDOM.
What a SLAP IN THE FACE to soooo many VETERANS who served, were injured and then DENIED HEALTH CARE they WERE ENTITLED TO. I sat back and watched fellow employees pull that "whistle blowing" tactic to gain a big fat $5,000.00 bonus on the next paycheck. That money could have been better spent on a VETERAN IN NEED OF HEALTH CARE. I saw far too many veterans denied too many things they deserved working as an employee for my VA hospital. This has been a very long time coming and i hope they win this lawsuit. They deserve this health care and it is promised to them during their service time.

I am treated at the VA Hospital at Ft Meade in Sturgis, SD and I can say that I have never had finer care anywhere. I was late for an appointment at the eye clinic one time and the technician came out and apologized to me because I would have to wait a few minutes. Every time I go for any knid of appointment I am treated with the utmost courtesy and respect and I never have to wait, they are always waiting for me. I can't speak for anyother facility, but Fort Meade is exceptional. The staff is the best I have ever seen and the service is better than you would get from a civilian doctor.

bl8nt with all due respect girl! al quaeda WAS heavily involved with hussein. It just had me amused when husseins own peeps HUNG HIM and then tried to pass blame on america.
Forge thats wonderful you get such good care at your va hospital but back home it was far from the level of courtesy and respect I watched the veterans receive. I have shared b4 the documents i would read regarding the LAB RATS....VETERANS used for drug testing and experiments. The other bizarre tests and again US Veterans used for lab rats. What i witnessed as an employee of the VA HOSPITAL made me almost sick. Maybe its a hit and miss on these VA Hospitals but this type of treatment is exactly what has fueled a federal lawsuit against the VA Administration. I really do hope these veterans win! drinker
