Topic: Open Letter to Congress | |
---|---|
I have heard upon the streets of the City of Knowledge that the Government of my Nation considers using new tools to watch the people as though we were all theives and scoundrels.
Are they serious? We hold Governance in trust for the People of the United States of America. This dishonors the Founding Fathers of this Nation and disturbs even Sequoia the Giant who would be dust but for the Trees that shout his name. (though they be now few in number). Put then your tools within the Eagles within the Chambers that the People may watch you from the City of Knowledge by the cycles of both the sun and the moon. Put them not in the Halls of Justice. Though they stumble form time to time they have a great weight to bear. Put them not in the White House that holds my President. He at least stands up for what he believes though he is a bit hasty in his pursuit. Put them not in the private chambers of Congress or the Senate that they might make the necessary deals with the Jackal so the Giant in the City have no food for anger and Congress a place to discuss before Council. You will know then by the Rising of the Giant in the City if your actions are right or wrong. Make better choices when next the People allow you in our Chambers of Law. I speak this by the Right of the Constitution if have sworn to uphold. I swore upon it only because were you read God I was free at the time to speak his name as my father taught it to me. I have spoken from the City of Knowledge because all the Gates to the White House were to small for me and there were many angry Warrors along the walls. I answer the Prayers of my Brothers of the Cherokee. They gave the First Water of this sweet Rose that is my Nation. I give the Second. That the Rose might bloom. Allah' Abha America God Father Thank you May your trees multiply upon the Earth. So your name be not forgotten among the people that walk in America. Thank yo |

How can we not admire the complexity of thought made so utterly transparent in simply words?
The OP is both a reminder of a sad state of affairs and the idealism that remains alive in optimism. That an ideal remains alive in the mind means there must be the potential of reaching it. First we must allow the potential behind every voice to be developed with constrainment of the bias of others. Then there must be a forum in which the voices will be heard and the wisdom of all experience taken for the benefit of the common good. Let the common good not exclude the people of the world in favor of the few in one country. That too is a founding view and perhaps it was that view which have given this country the greatest pool of diversity of thought from which to choose its wisdom. Yet we have lost the main components of original ideals. |

Agreed.
Yet if nothing is done. Nothing will change. It is time. 2/3rds of the 1st Amendment have fallen. In truth free speach has been sidetracked by legal means. In truth Religion is being asked by law to violate conscience. The only part that has not been yet lost. is Individual right to freedom of Religion. That also is in danger. If the first ammendment falls. Chaos will result. By the second. It is time to stand up. this is the only way I know how to stand. On my feet. |
