I'd just spoken to my father shortly today. Its been about a month since we last spoken, but a bit longer since I've actually seen him. Around March of last year before my sister and I took that trip to New York.

I think my father has cancer. He'd had heart problems in the past (a stroke actually more specifically then a cardiomyopathy followed) but now, I've seen him on Skype, and he looks so different. He's lost about 30 pounds, gaunt, emaciated with dark circles and just looks so drained. We just started to talk and rebuild a new relationship so I am happy about that. I even cried after I logged off, hearing his voice stirred me. I just miss my family. I don't know what he has but from what I saw, he looks so sickly. I think if he does have cancer I'd want to spend every second I could with him in the valley, I'd taxi there. I just don't know how to deal with this. Even as I was calling him "Dad" my voice shook, I couldn't look at him the whole time. We are talking again next weekend so I need to figure out what I am going to say. Can you guys pray for him? I'd really appreciate it, I am sitting here in tears.

Thank you everyone. I'm doing a lot better today than I was last night. Its just the overall shock hitting me. I'll be ok though. I appreciate the warm comments. I hope things get better for him and we grow closer.

its not about WHAT you say to your father, or HOW you say it, its that your with him in heart, and spirit, that matters.

All he really NEEDS, is to see his baby girls beautiful, glowing face, and hear her lovely voice, to bring calm to him, and ease his fears, and warm his heart.

I offer this prayer...

Lord, I ask that you give Audrey, the strength that she needs, to get through this very difficult time, in her life.

Please, give her the confidence to know, that her words will flow effortlessly, when she speaks with her father, and the wisdom to understand, that her presence, is what really matters, to him now.

I ask for you, to please give her father, the strength, and the mercy, that he needs, to not feel pain, or sadness, while dealing with his health issues.

I ask this in the name of your son, Jesus Christ.

I had spoken to him a little last night through Facebook. He sounds ok, but I still worry. In the back of my mind I fear the worst. I'm trying to stay strong and not get distracted if its nothing. We are just starting to talk again and I have forgiven him a long time ago. Its just time. Its time we all get along. Life is so short. Family is breathing.
