We know that light exists.

What is darkness?

Too easy..........

If we know light "exists"

Darkness is simply the....absence of Light!!!

How does darkness exist?

What is light?

no same way darkness exist, darkness is not the absence of light, like light dark is another source

I give up....what is it?

It is where most of us..........

JB, that is a beautiful poem!! I actually wrote one the other day on the darkness. To me, the darkness is pure calm, stillness and peace. The absence of light makes it possible to see the inner world more clearly. No distractions. No noise. No light. I'll go copy and paste it here.

"Peace"

The darkness calls
It knows my name
Come take your rest
Here there is no shame.

The coolness of dark water
Waves crashing in the night
Finally it's over
Theres nothing left to fight.

The rumors of horrors
And monsters galore

Wow, that's awesome.

My inspiration came from going deep within in meditation and finding the core of being in pure stillness and darkness.

Mine came from deciding I hated men.

Okay, that's not entirely true, but it is what started me writing that night.

Honestly, I do find the darkness very comforting.

I don't hate men. Hate is wasted energy. I find certain masculine or macho traits very annoying though.

I think we, as souls, spend time on the earth incarnated into both male and female genders and eventually come to know and understand both sides of that experience.

I can relate to both the masculine and feminine side of the human condition. I'm not really dedicated to either side of the battle of the sexes. I don't like to take sides.

I don't hate men either. If I did that means I would hate my son. It was just a.....processing of emotions I was going through. Actually, I found the writing I did that night very therapeutic.

Darkness: your heart and soul disappearing into the quicksand, except its blinding, few make it out alive.

Btw, i never thought to define darkness or light. What is light? I seriously dont know. What is it made up of?
