Why do people put pictures of animals or things other than themselves on their profile and then wonder why no one shows interest in them?

I had loads of pics up of myself but all that I got was loads of emails talking bout my looks and saying how far away I was. There was no conversation or anything, and would be nice for someone to actually talk to me as a person and not just mention my looks. So yeah I just go through phases, I delete my pics and then upload them again. But yeah I get what you mean, people don't contact me unless I have pics of myself up...

And when they post a picture of themselves, it's real blurry.
