Most of the Faux news viewers I come across in person and online just recite what they've heard on the toob as if it were fact.  I'll hand this to Rupert-he's created probably the most effective propaganda/misinformation/disinformation machine in modern history. Almost everything the viewers of that network believe is partly to totally false. He's outdone the the great propagandists of Europe like Goebbels and Hitler.
Read this post in the early hours this morning [couldn't sleep] and thought. ...this needs reposting. Edward Bernays the Father of Propaganda couldn't hold candlelight to Rupert Murdoch. How many people today, feel stupid that they believed that this man was an honest broker. |

It's funny how I listen to people constantly complain about "the liberal media", and yet most of the political programming I come across in my region is decidedly right-wing. I have only come across ONE liberal broadcast show in my area....and it was based in California (go figure), created as a response to Rush Limbaugh and Glenn Beck.
...And I turned the radio off. It was just as ridiculous as the other two shows. Just like the other two, they raised some good points but then they would ruin it by going waaaaaay off the deep end on something completely ludicrous. I guess they just can't get sufficient ratings without resorting to sensationalism to incite the masses, something FOX has taken to a new level thanks to Rupert Murdoch. |
