Topic: If God fights your battles? | |
---|---|
Does that make you just a spectator? Do you bet on the outcome? How do you know when you have won? Who then if so is the referee? Would then you root for God or the underdog? Would you charge admission? What would you do if God started to help your opponent?

if GOD has been fighting my battles the being a spectator is a rough sport

God supports you in your battles. He gives you the strenght to carry on. But towards the is you the one who fights.
If you stay all day long sitting in your chair waiting for God to do the things you should. Hardly you will get any accomplishments at all. |

Cliche comes to mind: God helps those, who help themselves.
Nope, I don't believe that is in reference to stealing either. |

is battle an option? I'm a lover not a fighter

WTF????????
BATTLE IS THE LAST OPTION.
i'm just asking if there has to be two sides. A winner and a loser?
well if God is helping you ,he is probally helping the other guy too so it would make you evenly matched.I think the one who keeps his wits about him will win.

Without two sides would conflict arise? Yes, in the sense one can argue with themselves. In the aspect of two groups/people, if there is a compromise, I would imagine that would eliminate the desire for battle and then yes, you could have two winners and no losers.

The way I have always looked at the whole, "Ask and ye shall receive," philosophy - which also needs to maintain harmony with "free-will" is this:
Many of us will have influential people in our lives, people whom we idolize, admire, and seek to emulate. For me, morally the person that acts as my mentor is my father. Not because he helps me with any situation that ask him to help me with, but because by his example and by all that he has taught me he continually helps me in everything that I do. In the same way, Jesus/God helps us whenever we ask it; by praying we are recalling the Lord and are able to draw strength from the knowledge that should we truly need it, He is there. However, He knows better what we need, allowing us to fall at times, and then pick ourselves up. With God, prayer is that phone call you make to your folks, or to a mentor when you need to feel good...you know the one. |

There is nothing separate ... what is there to fight against?
Hmmm...I don't know, I think everything is a struggle to maintain balance/equilibrium. It is that ecosystem of happiness ... we strive for happiness, but we need all that sadness to stand as a metric for its worth. Even though everything is connected, and lacks separation, we weave our threads in the tapestry of life as individuals, we basically fight against ourselves, which is how we define ourselves.

"Without two sides would conflict arise? Yes, in the sense one can argue with themselves. " - wench
If you are in conflict or battling with your self, the one is like two. There is you, the one fighting and your self, the one you are fighting with Which is really you? Or are there 2 of you? Ya, I think we make everything a struggle in our own minds. How we define ourselves reminds me of a scene from fight club: "you're not how much money you've got in the bank. You're not your job. You're not your family, and you're not who you tell yourself.... You're not your name.... You're not your problems.... You're not your age.... You are not your hopes." ~Chuck Palahniuk, Fight Club, Chapter 18 Thinking about it, if I could I'd like to charge admission |

Actually, I'm not fighting with myself but determining which choice is the one to go with given that wonderful free will of mine. Usually, the choices are the same want or need.
