Thanks everyone. Means a lot to me and Dad. We have been blessed with several mild days so I could take him outside a few minutes which seem to give him some comfort.
We hired a skilled CNA Hospice nurse 12 hours a week so I can at least make a few of my medical appointments. Hanging tough with all the kind thoughts. Printed out the thread and carry in my pocket when I need a hug. Love ya all! |

Today I recieved MRI results that Dad has terminal advanced bone cancer of the spine on top of a host of previous health issues includeing Alhiemer's. I would sincerly appreciate prayers that his Hospice services and my home care can help him pass gently. Thanks. Awwww, I am so sorry to hear about your father. I will most definitely keep your father and the rest of your family in my prayers.

Update;
Dad's new Primary Care Doctor got him set up with Hospice and with that he will get all liquid medications that will give him some relief from trying to swallow pills or having to taste the nasty ground vitamins/medications. That we are being blessed with rain (and then snow in the Sierra which helps Northern Californis's economy ) means our garden will not suffer as badly as he was worried. He has spent a lot of hours watering the garden and takes great pride in it since I bought most of the plants from the nurshery where he worked for years. Some of our roses are over 35 years old. |

Dear PacificStar48, the rain is coming down, here, in Modesto. Woke me up! Your Dad and your well being are in my thoughts. I ,specially, pray for G-d's Mercy .

With great sadness I pass on the news that the Doctors withdrew several of Dad's maintenance medications today because his renal systems are starting to fail so badly that it is more dangerous to take them than not. His stats are all over the place. Such a helpless feeling.
