You don't have to read it on Wiki. I only posted it because their definitions of assault and battery are pretty accurate. The colleges use Wiki as an encyclopedia source though, just so you know.

Dependent on if the individual felt threatened, and dependent upon the persona of the individual. Some have fears of being touched by any kind of filth. So, in essence, moldy dip would in fact place fear in some. The fact that you touched someone with anything including moldy dip or just a touch period constitutes battery by the letter of the law. Just making you aware. Technically, you would be just as guilty as someone throwing a rock.
