I dont think its rude, just pointless. I think people present themself according to what they want to attract and its natural that they arent going to attract everyone but they only NEED to attract the right one so it doesnt matter how many dont find their appearance appealing,,, ...what in the? b what is she talking about? o.O was referring to the original question of the op 'is it rude to tell someone that the picture he or she is using on whatever site isn't good? or that he or she could do better? i'm talking pictures of themselves of course. i'm pretty sure i'm going to get: 'i don't give a **** what you think.' but i'm the one looking at it, dear. o.O ' Holy crap! Just to be saying here,,
Many folks on here don't like who they THINK others see them as,,,so they won't post a pic of themselves,,and some are scared and also do not post their pic's.. Now as for improper pic's,,thats up to the mods here..? But as for pics of someone to let them know it could be seen as a BAD pic to others,,THAT their running as their main pic,,, I would THINK,,they might be a little prideful,,(dudes anyway) but I think in the long run,,they'd appreciate ya for it.. 
Now as for mine,,   I CAN;T MAKE MY FACE ANY YOUNGER OK?????

My experience is if you say what you think about anyones photo's; even if they ask , you are "cruiseing for a bruiseing" because I have yet to see anyone actually like it or even appreciate it.
