Topic: Who were you named after?

My mother apparently had a very hard labor. So she was kind of pissed. So she named me after my father's ex girlfriend. (Like 6 years after the fact.) So, he would say my name all the time, with a smile. She never would :-) OMG, thats hilarious!

I was actually going to be named Roberto. When I was inside my mothers stomach, apparently the ambilicable(?) cord, was between my legs, so they thought, it was a penis, and I was a boy. (Ultrasounds, were not very perfected, WAYYYYYYYYYYYYYY back then.) So when I came out a girl, they just changed the "O" to an "A". Roberta.

You really do look English, or Irish. I would of never guessed you were from this country. You have that interesting foreign beauty, ya know? I DO mean that as a compliment. I think foreign people have an exotic kind of beauty, unlike americans have. Ha! That's the first time somebody said I was an exotic. I'll take it! Foreign chicas are cool as hell. The Brit part of me is too obvious. And I stick out when I go to the beach Im like a vampire. Crazy. I didn't ask for this man! Please someone grant me the ability to look orange for once. My middle name is after my mother's roommate in college. Which I always thought was a bit strange.

I was named after the actress Gloria Jean. She was still living last time I checked. I emailed her and she answered. She was in her 70's.

I was named after one of the kids on the waltons (erin) and my middle name is my grandmother's first name (elizabeth)

From what I was always told, my name was preplanned, in case a boy ever came along - which is supposed to be a big deal with Italian families - it was with my grandparents, anyway (my paternal ancestry is Italian). For a first name, I was named after my Italian grandfather - which I'm very proud of, 'cause he was cool; with my old man's name thrown in for a middle name (that's OK, years ago, a fellow performer and friend gave me a new middle name - "F**kin' ").
