I stripped down an 8 room house and completely remodeled it from the studs in...was a ton of fun and took five years...also a former hod carrier/mason |

I don't own a tool belt, but I do have some tools. I've worked with Habitat for Humanity and enjoyed it! That's about the extent of building I'll do, though.

Nothing makes me happier than whipping out my air compressor and air nailer!
...except maybe if steel toes came in stilettos ... |

I'm a novice, but I do know someone that could teach me.

I am the queen of putting on my "big girl panties" and doing it myself. Such as changing toilet floats, faucets, locks, etc. etc. I refuse to pay anyone unless I get stuck. Then usually one of my friends or neighbors owes me a favor and they will help me. However, my condo needs to be painted and I am rebelling because I will just screw up the walls with excessive nail holes anyway and I don't see the point. I have taken all kinds of art and interior design and stuff and I am good at it. However, I like homes that you can live in and be messy. My parents have a house out of magazine and I hate it. I want to be able to rollerblade in the kitchen if I feel like it.

My father was a roofer by trade.. when I was about 10 he taught me to mix mortar in a box by hand, then later taught me how to shingle a roof with flashing around the chimney.. I could lay brick and block by the time I was 14.. In my late 30's my brother taught me how to frame a house... My youngest daughter was a welder and pipefitter in the navy, knows how to test concrete, build a bridge and buildings and survey...

I knew the difference between a flathead and a Phillips at 2 years old!! I was his chief tool fetcher and the one who held the light source for hours in painful positions until whatever was repaired. I have changed grown men's tires because THEIR daddy didn't show them. |

I can do a few things. I can also find instructions and follow them. I am sure I'll be learning a lot more, now.

I want to be able to rollerblade in the kitchen if I feel like it. Now that's living life to it's fullest. Just remember the knee pads. |

I have a thing for guys at construction sites! They look in their tool belts and work boots!

I wish I could find me a craftsman type guy.

I have changed grown men's tires because THEIR daddy didn't show them. When I learned to drive, the first thing my dad taught me was to change a tire.. Had a motorcycle that had a rear flat and the guys at the station said they didn't know how to change it.. They just wanted to see if I knew how and I did.. their mouths just fell open..lol My sister torn down a whole house by herself in the middle of winter.. She prefers power tools over spa certificates...lol |

You would fall madly in love with my best friend. I am not that sure. I think that, instead, I'd fall madly in love with myself. I do that all the time. Sorry. |
