It's been a long, dark, weary night
Waiting for the dawn Hoping for the sunrise of my heart The moon and stars taunt me tonight I faintly remember what day was like I fall asleep and wake She hasn't come I fall asleep and wake again That's when the doubt came creeping in In dreams I pass the time Sometimes I'd rather stay there For there we embrace the warmth and light I wish I had this lonely night I know, I hope Someday you'll rise again We'll make this day never end Lets make this our last sunset |

I think that most of us long for TRUE love. The nightmare of being with the wrong person is what has brought this darkness about. I too would rather be lonely than in that predicament. The end of my poem was about til death do us part. Hope this new year brings you great blessings as well. To a better future |
