Since you are Asian wouldn't this question be towards an elder in your family?? Here in the United States we choose for ourselves in the qualities we percieve as accptable. But with our divorce rate, I do not think taking advice fram an American of the US would be good advice.

Hmm ...I was once told not to travel to Japan. If I would dare mingle with the women there ..the men would shoot me on the spot. Something about me being liberal and outspoken.

It is my believe that it is not only Japan that a woman cannot be liberal and outspoken. Its the same in pretty much all those countries over there. No wonder a lot of the women from over there want to come to the USA. So they can finally get to say what is REALLY on their minds, and to be able to walk BESIDE the one they love. And finally be treated as an equal human being.

If one does not know what they seek within a relationship it is best not to even have one....Only each person knows what makes them happy or what they can deal with when it comes to a partner......
