How can we delight in the Law of the Lord when we are subject to break it?

The Scriptures tell us:

In Psalms 1:

1, "Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly,
nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful.

2, But his delight is in the law of the LORD; and in his law doth he meditate day and night.

3, And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water,
that bringeth forth his fruit in his season;
his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper.

4, The ungodly are not so: but are like the chaff which the wind driveth away.

5, Therefore the ungodly shall not stand in the judgment,
nor sinners
in the congregation of the righteous.

6, For the LORD knoweth the way of the righteous: but the way of the ungodly shall perish."

in Romans 7:


22, "For I delight in the law of God after the inward man:

23, But I see another law in my members, warring against the law of my mind,
and bringing me into captivity to the law of sin which is in my members.

25, I thank God through Jesus Christ our Lord. So then with the mind I myself serve the law of God;
but with the flesh the law of sin."

A Commentary--->

"For I delight in the law of God,...."

This an unregenerate man cannot do; he does not like its commands,
they are disagreeable to his corrupt nature;
and as it is a threatening, cursing, damning law,

it can never be delighted in by him:
the moralist, the Pharisee, who obeys it externally, do not love it,
nor delight in it; he obeys it not from love to its precepts,
but from fear of its threatenings; from a desire of popular esteem,
and from low, mercenary, selfish views,
in order to gain the applause of men, and favour of God:
only a regenerate man delights in the law of God;
which he does, as it is fulfilled by Christ,
who has answered all the demands of it:

and as it is in the hands of Christ,
held forth by him as a rule of holy walk and conversation;

and as it is written upon his heart by the Spirit of God,
to which he yields a voluntary and cheerful obedience:
he serves it with his mind, of a ready mind freely,
and without any constraint but that of love; he delights together with the law,
as the word here used signifies; the delight is mutual and reciprocal,

the law delights in him, and he delights in the law;

and they both delight in the selfsame things,

and particularly in the perfect obedience which the Son of God has yielded to it.

The apostle adds,

after the inward man; by which he means the renewed man,
the new man, or new nature, formed in his soul;

which had its seat in the inward part, is an internal principle,
oil in the vessel of the heart, a seed under ground, the kingdom within us,
the hidden man of the heart, which is not obvious to everyone's view,

it being not anything that is external, though never so good:

this in its nature is agreeable to the law of God,
and according to this

a regenerate man delights in it:

but then this restrictive limiting clause supposes another man,

the old man,
the carnal I, according to which the apostle did not delight in the law of God;
and proves,
that he speaks of himself as regenerate,

and not as unregenerate, or as representing an unregenerate man,
because no such distinction is to be found in such a person;

nor does such a person delight at all, in any sense,
upon any consideration in the law of God,

but is enmity against it, and not subjected to it;

nor can he be otherwise, without the grace of God.

Regeneration


The new birth;
that work of the Holy Spirit by which the soul, previously dead in sins,
is created anew in Christ unto righteousness.

It is expressed in Scripture by being born again and born from above, Joh_3:3-7;

becoming a new creature, 2Co_5:17;

being quickened to a new life of holiness, Eph_2:1;

having Christ formed in the heart, Gal_4:19;

and being made partaker of the divine nature, 2Pe_1:4.

The sole author of this change is the Holy Spirit, Joh_1:12, Joh_1:13, Joh_3:4 Eph_2:8-10;

and he effects it ordinarily by the instrumentality of gospel truth, 1Co_4:15 Jam_1:18, 1Pe_1:23.

In this change the moral image of God is brought back into the soul,

and the principle of supreme love to our neighbor is implanted.

Regeneration, producing faith, is accompanied by justification, and by actual holiness of life,

or sanctification begun, and completed when the "babe in Christ"
reaches in heaven "the fulness of the stature of the perfect man" in Him.

In Mat_19:28, regeneration means Christ's making all things new.

In Tit_3:5, "the washing of regeneration" denotes the purifying work of the Spirit in the new birth.

Hold on now.Don't be thinking I am about to BLASPHEME here.I'm a Christian ,but no mentally blind one though.
Look,I am a furiously spiritual man but DO NOT BELIEVE every single CONTEXT that is laid down in the Word...nor should anyone.
The bible (even the King James Bible) is chock full of contradictions with itself and not one minister can explain them.Hold on now,I'm not challenging OUR FAITH! I'm simply pointing out that if anyone with common sense were to study the Word as much as I would certainly arrive at a point of question.
Does our CURRENT version of the Word explicitly say to not believe any other messages from the Lord? It does say that those who do not follow "these words are not of God". But,what if the word "words" were to mean "ideals"? Then what could we interpret?
The Bible does not say that there would be no other prophets. Then why oh why do an overwhelming percent of CHRISTIAN ministers espouse the idea that nobody can have direct messages from God and that there are no new prophets?
My whole point being: God speaks to us all the time-we just don't listen or fall to human reasoning...or maybe just what some minister said.
I strongly urge people to read "Conversations with God" and the two volumes that follow.On it's face it may appear lunatic or blasphemous but I assure you that it certainly opens ones eyes as to many truths that both parallel the Word and contradict many CONTEXTS many of us were raised to believe which LIMITED our furtherance of the understanding of Our Lord. These books NEED to be read-regardless of your current pattern of belief or status in life.I encourage you to do so.Please open your hearts and minds to the wisdom God intends for you,and to not be STRICTLY LIMITED TO WHAT KING JAMES TOLD TYNSDALE TO PUBLISH IN THE KING JAMES VERSION.(history tells us that King James had his lead translator,Tynsdale,beheaded! And it wasn't because he wasn't doing a good job...it was because King James had a personal AGENDA as to what the first English translation said to his kingdom.)Think about these things and read those books written by a simple man.You'll be both enlightened and amazed as to how awesome God is,and made us to be as well! this is considered "another gospel" "false teaching".

I am not a debater so you may argue with the scripture as "laid down".

Look at the times in which we live,
make certain that you read and hold fast to the gospel message as written.
The Apostles have given clear instructions for the Church and all believers.
There is no Gospel outside the written Word. The message is complete! Finished!

No private interpretations should be accepted by Christ's Church!
