Skew (2011)

Storyline

When Simon, Rich, and Eva head out on an eagerly anticipated road trip, they bring along a video camera to record their journey. What starts out as a carefree adventure slowly becomes a descent into the ominous as unexplained events threaten to disrupt the balance between the three close friends. Each one of them must struggle with personal demons and paranoia as friendships are tested and gruesome realities are revealed...and recorded.

I'm watching it right now...I don't know. The 3 leads are kinda dull.

As with most FF films, yeah, they are. The characters are forgettable, their conversations, if you can call such gibberish, even more so. What I liked was the plot, the idea of it, which I'm sure I've seen in another movie before, but could not remember it, at the moment.

I wish they went a step further with that camera thing. It could have been one helluva creepy film, kind of like what the only FF film I liked did. You know what I'm referring to.

Plaga zombie (1997)
Plaga zombie: Zona mutante (Video 2001)

Two of the lowest budget zombie movies I've ever seen, but I've never enjoyed such total cheesiness in my entire life.

These movies are probably what would be the end result of most, if you were to make a zombie movie with a budget worth a high school student's allowance, and with the cast consisting entirely of friends, family and neighbors. The make up used were probably water color or ketchup, and they shamelessly use almost every movie cliche known to man. The amazing thing about this is, it actually works.

The movie is outrageously silly and the acting is so hilariously cheesy. But it's one of those instances when a movie is soooo bad, it's good.

I'll have to finish it today. I was having a hard time concentrating on it.

I like the concept too, I've liked most FF films I've seen, but they have good filler- Trollhunter, Lake Mungo, Home Movies, The Tunnel all had characters and dialogue that at least kept me interested and entertained.

Megan Is Missing

If you're a parent or guardian who needs to be convinced that you should be more strict on who your kids talk to on the internet, this will probably turn your world upside down. Warning: The movie contains some disturbing photos.

Storyline (IMDb)

Megan Stewart, 14, and her best friend Amy Herman, 13, though opposites in personality, are best friends. Megan carries the front of being the most popular girl in school, but this masks a lifestyle of hard partying, drugs, alcohol and indiscriminate sex. Amy, unpopular and socially awkward, clings to her relationship with Megan as a lifeline to social acceptance. Together, these two young girls forge a deep friendship based on their mutual needs. The two girls regularly communicate by web chat cameras or cell phone, and even meet boys online. As Megan seeks friends who are different from her usual posse of hanger-ons, she is introduced by a friend online to a 17 year-old boy named Josh in a chat room. Megan and Josh bond quickly, leaving Amy feeling a bit left out. One day, Megan goes to meet Josh in person, and she is never seen again. Amy launches into a concentrated effort to find her friend.

Megan Is Missing started out good and had great potential for a found footage type film, but it fell short about halfway through for me.

Watched a baseball documentary on Netflix called "Catching Hell". About the foiled foul ball deflected by a random Cubs fan in the stands that cost them a shot at the World Series. Pretty effed up stuff what this poor guy had to go through just for trying to catch a foul ball. Damn Cubs fans...grumble

It had the opposite effect on me. I thought the start of it was pretty slow and uninteresting, given the content of the dialogues of the teens or lack thereof. I think the entire movie started after Megan's photos (after the abduction) was shown.

I love bad movies, but even I couldn't enjoy Zombie Strippers. I thought Jenna Jameson was scarier looking than the zombies.
