Getting more active on this site is what works. It is a way for people to filter out if you are a scammer or not. I have met people so far but not anything I would call a romantic success. Besides you have only been here a month. I have been here for a lot longer so I guess you could say it does take some work to be successful. There have been at least two marriages I know of since I have been on this site.

Also, walk, don't run. Internet dating is a lot like running with scissors. Take your time and have fun with it. There is no such thing as instant gratification especially here.

At least you are not getting ripped off by sites like eHarmony and Match! Both suck!

And if someone acts up here you can fire an angry admin at them! All you do is select "report", hit enter, and an angry admin is targeted at a would be hostile or offensive poster. (It is a Counter Strike joke. I admit it is a little archaic. Please don't sue me! Look up "CS: GO Trailer" on Newgrounds.com to see exactly where I got this joke!)

There are a lot of variables in the equation. Some of us have been here a lot longer than a month with no results. There's geography, random chance, preferences, all kinds of things that play into it. I'd say post in the forums if you want to get noticed. I get tons of e-mail here, just nothing yet from an actual dating prospect....!

I agree.. a month isn't very long and you need to mingle with the regulars.

I was being sexist though and should have said "lonely, single people". Lots of single women out there as well that will be looking at men and seeing turkey legs, egg nog while muttering aud lang syne under their breaths
